Tracing

At P&J we are always striving to improve our success rate. One of the recurring problems we face is locating debtors who have ‘gone away’ leaving no forwarding address.

To address this problem we have invested in the latest up-to-the-minute tracing software. Using this, as well as exhaustive enquiries in the neighbourhood, we can boast a very high success rate in tracking down new addresses for debtors.

The current fee for this service is just £5.50 plus VAT per search. If we successfully trace to a new address there is a further fee of £22.50 plus VAT OR JUST £6.50 plus VAT if the subject is 'Living as Stated' at the original address. Unsuccessful cases are monitored on a weekly basis at no extra charge for a period of two years. If a new address becomes available within that time we will contact you and let you know.

Judgment Searches

Before deciding to take legal action for recovery of unpaid debts it makes sense to do a check on the Register of Judgments in England & Wales to see whether the debtors have any previously unpaid judgments registered against them. It is worthwhile as it could prevent you throwing good money after bad if the debtor has a poor credit history in this respect.
